James Dowling Obituary, Death – James Dowling, commonly known as Jim, breathed his last on October 21st, 2023, at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. He was a cherished resident of 41 Dereen Heights, Tullow Rd., Carlow. Surrounded by his beloved family, he peacefully embarked on his final journey. Jim was the cherished husband of Dolores and the devoted father of Jason, Ciara, Melissa, and Thomas (fondly known as Tucker).
His affectionate presence will be dearly missed by his adoring grandchildren, Cleona, Laila, Hallie, Pauric, Alana, Carlie, Aaron, and Tommy. In the realm of family, Jim’s legacy remains eternal, survived by his caring wife, sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, and a large circle of relatives and friends. His memory will be held dear by his surviving siblings, Larry, John, Sheila, Mary, and Geraldine, as they mourn the loss of their beloved brother, who was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy.
Friends and relatives will have the opportunity to pay their respects at his home, 41 Dereen Heights, Tullow Rd, Carlow (Eircode R93 F6Y9), as his remains repose there from 3 pm on Sunday, concluding with an evening prayer at 8 pm.
The following day, Monday, his funeral procession will commence at 10.30 am, making its way to The Holy Family Church, Askea, where a Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am, commemorating his life and legacy. Following the service, a cremation ceremony will take place at Mount Jerome Crematorium at 1.45 pm.
As his loved ones bid him farewell, they earnestly hope that Jim finds eternal peace. His life, filled with love and cherished memories, serves as a testament to the joy and warmth he brought into the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, forever embraced in the hearts of those he left behind.
